RUNA

Runa is a band of musical enthusiasts, who is not professional musicians, but who sharing passionate about for the music and willing to create new music together. The band is established on 12 march 2019, by two members, whos first names bacame name for the band Rustem and Nastya. Originally there was no particular purpose to became a rock band, but it naturally derived into this way as other members of the band were gathering

Runa is the band that represents music in style of ethno-folk and hard rock mixture, mainly in Ukrainian language. The band is dedicated to popularizing Ukrainian culture, and actively promote to support Ukraine in its fight for the freedom.

Anastasia

LEAD VOCALS

Always interested in the mysterious roots of northern Ukraine, Anastasia finds her voice in a charismatic blend of native folk songs, modern rhythms, and personal passion for music. R.U.N.A. as a project was her vision, which began to materialize alongside the world’s rising interest in Ukraine today. When on stage, Anastasia’s presence never goes unnoticed—she always delivers a bright and memorable show.

Rustem

KEYS, GUITAR RYTHM

A classically trained pianist, Rustem is the quiet center of the band, grounding the wild musical ambitions of his bandmates. His mastery of harmony and theory subtly but effectively shapes the band’s tone. Mostly behind the keys, but sometimes on guitar, Rustem creates a solid backbone for the melodies to flourish.

Denis

GUITAR SOLO & RYTHM

Denis is the guitar motor of R.U.N.A. Whether it’s gentle strumming behind a slow ballad or a blazing solo in a fiery rock headbanger, his sound uniquely defines the pulse of the band. With a musical background in the rock and metal scene of the 2000s, Denis draws inspiration from the great guitar masters of that era. As much as folk and pop music blend with rock, his guitar legacy is always felt when he takes the lead.

Dmitry

BASS GUITAR

Dmitry plays bass and composes drum tracks, driving the rhythm machine behind the Runa’s energetic pulse. He started making music back then in the 80s, was part of the metal scene in 90s, and brings his musical experience to the band today. Born and raised in Ukraine, Dmitry draws inspirations both from the Eastern European folk and pop music, as well as from the Western classic and progressive rock. His ambitions are to make music that is complex and nontrivial while readily accessible to the wide audience and having its own unique voice and style.

Igor

KEYS, PERCUSSION, FLUTE, SOUND EFFECTS

While each band member plays a single instrument, Igor is the master of all other sound machinery, filling the gaps in sound and keeping the band running. Flute, percussion, keys, drum tracks, and sound engineering—Igor is all of this and more, a musical polymath quietly stationed at the back of the stage, guiding the show with a steady hand. Though he may not always be in the spotlight, Igor is an indispensable part of the band, always receiving the praise he deserves.

Olga

BACK VOCAL

Olga arrived in Denmark on the recent wave of Ukrainian refugees and was immediately invited to join the band. Her background in Ukraine’s modern rock scene made the collaboration click from the start, and her vocals expanded the band’s musical palette significantly. Sometimes a backing vocalist, but more often an equal part of a duo with Anastasia, her voice is a hidden gem within the band’s sound.
